Chapter member Kurt Wong was the recipient of a chapter scholarship to attend EDSymposium26, and as part of that he wrote three social media posts while at the conference May 13 – 15, 2026. If you missed the posts on LinkedIn, here is day one!
‘The SDA National EDSymposium26 conference is off to a great start in Atlanta! Our all day workshop today had Skot Waldron covering “Leadership, Influence, and Power” and explaining how the “4 C’s” each play a role (Character, Chemistry, Competency, and Credibility). Deborah Gill showed how these concepts were applied to a business operations case study while also previewing concepts for SDA’s forthcoming newest credential (more to come later this year!)
I also had a chance to chat with Sarah Kratzner, our new Executive Director, and am excited for what will be coming for the future of our organization under her leadership!
Attending this annual conference is a huge learning opportunity to hear from experts in the business operations side of the A/E/C industry and my participation this year is made possible through a sponsor of the SDA Pacific Northwest Chapter: Jess Hickey from 1029 Consulting, Inc. has been supporting our Chapter for many years, not only as a monetary sponsor but also in giving of her time and knowledge to help our members to grow as leaders in our industry, and I am extremely grateful for her support to continue my own career growth!’
